The Maison

A modern perfume house in the tradition of the great Parisian couturiers — reimagined for the man who walks India after dark.

Our Story

A walk through the streets of Patiala.

PHANTOM NOIR began as a single obsession: to capture, in glass, the precise mood of walking home through the lanes of old Patiala in the small hours after a great evening. The rain on sandstone. The last note of a passing qawwali. The gold light spilling from a haveli courtyard.

Our founder, a former editor with a lifelong love of niche perfumery, spent two years assembling a small atelier of French, Grasse-trained and Kannauj-trained perfumers, and together they set out to bottle confidence itself.

Today, PHANTOM NOIR is worn by artists, entrepreneurs and collectors from Tokyo to Milan — but every drop is still composed, aged and finished by hand in our studio in Dilawarpur, Patiala.

Craftsmanship

Ninety days of silence.

Every composition rests for at least ninety days in dark oak before bottling. The molecules settle. The rough edges soften. What emerges is something whole.

Our Commitments

Luxury with conscience.

Ethically sourced

Direct partnerships with rose growers in Bulgaria, oud farmers in Cambodia, vetiver cooperatives in Haiti.

Refillable flacons

Every Phantom bottle is refillable — return the glass, and receive a discount on the next refill.

Vegan & cruelty-free

Not a single ingredient is animal-derived or animal-tested. Ever.

"A great perfume is not a fragrance. It is a memory you haven't lived yet."
